Early 2020 was exciting for Duralloy Truck Bodies, with the prospects of another great year on the loom we had a brilliant order of eight large alloy tippers built for a council in the Northern regions of Queensland. These turned out to be a huge success for the team with several outstanding designed elements that overall created a great base design for our three-way tippers.
Built from our extra heavy-duty flooring the main body was roughly 3.6m long completely aluminium and designed for a long-lasting use. Smooth sheet overlay on the floor and all four walls ensures that the load carried would be as easy as a one button press to be dumped. Using Duralloys custom build sides there was more than average strength in this particular part of our build. A custom designed two-way tailgate mounted at the rear also ensures a clean dumping of the load without causing the driver or council team to have to be put into potentially dangerous areas. With a retractable load cover mounted on our custom aluminium headboard Queensland’s load safety rules were complied with.
At the front mounted on a strong steel subframe, three custom aluminium toolboxes were mounted, designed for particular use in the council fleet. With heavy-duty framework, completely lockable doors and dust and waterproof seals on the enclosed boxes there was a 100% guarantee of secure and safe tool transportation. Built to carry a 300L water tank on the roof of the smaller two toolboxes. Then carrying on the larger toolbox a large full view arrow board mounted to a secure framework with LED beacons and worklights completely wired in.
Accessories on this build included hand wash station, pull out steps with three points of contact all completely powder coated safety yellow. Underbody toolboxes mounted to provide extra storage and a water pressure washer mounted above the small of the two toolboxes.
Built completely on a Hino 917 crew cab this build was 100% a success for the team here at Duralloy Truck Bodies. Fully built in aluminium we always guarantee a durable build with a larger payload for any fleet anywhere.
